Project Summary
Thoughtfully designed commercial interior landscaping has the power to shape how people work, collaborate and feel within a space. By integrating planting into the workplace from the earliest stages of the design process, businesses can create healthier, more inspiring environments that encourage wellbeing, creativity and productivity.
Following a successful partnership maintaining and refreshing planting within Edyn’s previous London headquarters, Light Water Plants was appointed to design, supply and install the interior planting for the company’s new 400 m² head office on Newcomen Street, London Bridge.
Working closely alongside interior designer Eglantine Sicat and the wider design team, we developed a comprehensive commercial office planting scheme that placed greenery at the heart of the workplace, transforming plants from decorative accessories into integral architectural features that define how the office functions.

Edyn
Edyn is a Brookfield-owned, London-headquartered hybrid hospitality and extended-stay platform, operating more than 40 properties and over 80,000 apartments globally through its lifestyle and serviced apartment brands: Locke, Cove by Locke and SACO.
Operating across the UK, Ireland, France, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands, Edyn has established a significant presence within the UK hospitality sector, including approximately 11 properties across London.
Known for creating unique, vibrant and design-led spaces, Edyn wanted its headquarters to embody the same values that define its guest experience across its hospitality portfolio.
The Brief
The vision for the new headquarters was to create an inspiring workplace that reflected Edyn’s distinctive personality through bold colours, tactile materials, statement furniture and extensive interior planting.
The concept centred around bringing the feeling of a garden into the workplace, making commercial interior landscaping one of the defining features of the office.
Rather than simply decorating the space, planting was designed to:
- Create natural divisions between different working environments.
- Surround employees with lush indoor greenery.
- Support wellbeing through biophilic design.
- Introduce privacy without enclosing the open-plan office.
- Complement the rich colours and material palette throughout the interior.
- Create a workplace that feels relaxed, welcoming and residential rather than corporate.
The office incorporates dedicated areas for co-working, hot desking, meeting rooms and informal lounge spaces, all unified through carefully positioned planting.
A Collaborative Design Process
Having previously worked with Edyn at its former headquarters, the client already knew our approach to commercial plant installation and trusted our ability to deliver a planting scheme that matched the ambitions of the wider interior design.
Working alongside lead designer Eglantine Sicat and the project architects, we carried out multiple site surveys throughout the design process.
These collaborative workshops allowed us to:
- Assess natural and artificial light levels.
- Select species suited to areas with lower light quality.
- Plan future plant growth and mature sizes.
- Position planting to act as natural space dividers.
- Ensure every display complemented the office layout and circulation routes.
Because several areas received limited natural daylight, careful species selection was essential to ensure the planting would remain healthy while continuing to deliver maximum visual impact.
Our Commercial Planting Solution
The completed installation included more than 150 indoor plants, ranging from compact 20 cm desktop displays to impressive architectural specimens reaching 2.5 metres in height.
To reinforce the garden-inspired concept, we created a layered planting scheme using a variety of heights, textures and foliage forms throughout the office.
These were complemented by a carefully curated collection of oversized glazed ceramic planters, feature pots and rustic terracotta containers, selected to enhance the interior design while providing consistency throughout the workspace.
A key feature of the project was the installation of three 2.5-metre Ficus lyrata specimens, creating striking focal points within the open-plan workspace.

Our installation team carefully coordinated the delivery and positioning of more than 150 mature indoor plants across the office, ensuring each display fulfilled both an aesthetic and functional role.
By integrating planting directly into the workplace layout, the installation helped create privacy, improve circulation and soften transitions between different working environments without the need for fixed partitions.
The result is a cohesive commercial office planting scheme that feels entirely integrated with the architecture and interior design.
Results
The completed commercial interior landscaping project transformed Edyn’s headquarters into a vibrant, biophilic workplace that reflects the company’s hospitality-led approach to design.
Following the successful installation, Light Water Plants continued to provide commercial plant maintenance for the office over the next five years, ensuring every display remained healthy, vibrant and professionally presented throughout the life of the workspace.
