- Reception and lobby
- Meeting rooms
- Co-working spaces
- Executive offices
- Large roof terrace overlooking Hyde Park
The Brief
4The client required a planting scheme that would:
- Create a sophisticated first impression for visitors.
- Introduce greenery throughout the workplace using premium indoor plant displays.
- Enhance employee wellbeing through biophilic design.
- Transform an existing roof terrace into an attractive outdoor amenity space.
- Deliver a practical planting scheme supported by ongoing professional maintenance.
While the interior spaces required elegant statement planting with minimal maintenance, the roof terrace presented an entirely different challenge. The outdoor area was effectively a blank canvas and needed planting to define seating areas, provide privacy and create a tranquil retreat above one of London’s busiest locations.

Designing the Planting Scheme
Following a comprehensive site survey and consultation with the client, we developed a planting scheme that balanced architectural planting with practical long-term performance.
For the interior spaces, we specified statement plant displays positioned to complement the building’s clean, contemporary aesthetic while softening hard architectural finishes and adding natural focal points throughout the office.
For the roof terrace, we designed a layered planting scheme that introduced height, texture and seasonal interest while helping to create distinct outdoor zones for relaxation, informal meetings and entertaining.
Careful consideration was given to sunlight, wind exposure, drainage and long-term maintenance requirements to ensure the outdoor planting would continue to thrive throughout the seasons.
Our Commercial Planting Solution
The completed installation included:
- Five large statement indoor plant displays throughout the reception, offices and meeting spaces.
- Bespoke stone and ceramic planters selected to complement the interior design.
- Custom RAL-sprayed barrier troughs integrated into the reception desk.
- Contemporary commercial-grade planters and traditional terracotta containers for the roof terrace.
- More than 250 shrubs, trees, herbs and seasonal plants installed across 40 pots and bespoke troughs.
The combination of premium planters and carefully selected plant species creates visual continuity throughout the building while establishing the roof terrace as a welcoming extension of the workplace.
Installation
Our installation team coordinated both the internal and external planting programme to minimise disruption during the office fit-out.
Each planter was carefully positioned to maximise visual impact while ensuring practical access for future commercial plant maintenance.
The rooftop planting scheme required careful planning to accommodate the site’s exposed conditions, ensuring the selected species were well suited to the environment and capable of delivering year-round interest.
Results
The completed project has transformed Mohari Hospitality’s headquarters into a welcoming, contemporary workplace that reflects the company’s premium brand.
Visitors are greeted by elegant statement planting on arrival, while employees benefit from greener, healthier working environments throughout the office.
The roof terrace has become a destination in its own right, providing attractive breakout spaces that encourage relaxation, informal collaboration and outdoor meetings in the heart of Central London.
Through a combination of a defined and purpose led indoor and outdoor planting scheme and ongoing commercial plant maintenance, the planting has really enhanced the office space.
“Light Water Plants have been an absolute pleasure to work with.
